The Australian Tao Academy (ATA) provides educational programs focused on traditional Eastern philosophy, classical texts, and cultural heritage. ATA is not a medical clinic, financial advisory firm, or psychological counselling centre. All courses, including but not limited to theories of I Ching, Bazi, Feng Shui, and Traditional Chinese Life Sciences (TCM-adjacent cultural study), are strictly for cultural study, historical analysis, and personal philosophical development.

2. Medical & Psychological Disclaimer
No information provided in the Gen (classical life sciences), Xun (kinematics), or Li (internal cultivation) programs should be construed as medical diagnosis, treatment, or therapy. Psychological Risk Acknowledgment: Practices such as deep meditation, breathwork, and internal energy (Qi) cultivation can occasionally trigger emotional release or psychological distress. By enrolling, you confirm that you are not currently suffering from severe clinical depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or active PTSD, and that you are not currently prescribed psychiatric medication for these conditions without GP clearance. You agree to take full responsibility for your physical and mental wellbeing and to consult a licensed medical or psychological professional if needed. ATA instructors are not licensed therapists and reserve the right to advise you to seek professional medical help.

The I Ching (Kan) and Four Pillars (Dui) programs teach ancient structural thinking and symbolic frameworks. They do NOT constitute financial, investment, real estate, legal, or business advice. All case studies are for educational illustration of historical events only — no live forecasting of ongoing financial or personal matters is conducted. ATA explicitly rejects deterministic fatalism. You acknowledge that you are 100% responsible for your own life choices, financial investments, and interpersonal decisions. ATA, its directors, and instructors accept no liability for any personal or financial loss arising from your application of these philosophical models.

4. Physical Activity — Assumption of Risk
Participation in physical components (e.g., Tai Chi, Ba Duan Jin, Zhan Zhuang) involves inherent risks of physical injury. By participating, you certify that you are physically fit to engage in light-to-moderate physical activity and have no medical conditions that would prevent your safe participation. Individuals with cardiovascular conditions, spinal injuries, or relevant medical histories must provide written GP Medical Clearance before participating in Level 2 dynamic training. You voluntarily assume all risks of injury and release ATA and its instructors from any liability regarding physical injuries sustained during practice.
参与身体运动模块（如太极、八段锦、站桩）本身存在身体受伤的固有风险。参与即证明您具备参与轻至中等强度体力活动的身体条件，且无任何妨碍安全参与的医疗状况。有心血管疾病、脊椎损伤或相关病史者，在参加第二级动态训练前，须提供全科医生（GP）的书面医疗许可。您自愿承担所有受伤风险，并免除ATA及其讲师对修习过程中所受身体伤害的任何责任。
5. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
All course materials, including translated Daoist texts, video recordings, curriculum structures, and the Digital Tao Library (图书馆), are the exclusive intellectual property of ATA. Materials are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not distribute, reproduce, sublicense, or use these materials to teach, develop, or commercially operate your own courses or programs, in whole or in part, without the express written consent of ATA.

6. Right of Refusal & Termination
ATA is a private cultural institution and reserves the right to refuse admission or terminate the enrollment of any student who disrupts the learning environment, exhibits psychological instability that poses a risk to themselves or others, violates our code of ethics, engages in any form of harassment or misconduct, or applies course material for commercial or fraudulent purposes — without prior notice and without entitlement to a refund.
