Course Overview:
This introductory course establishes the foundational principles of Yijing study, including trigram symbolism, image-number logic, and the cosmological framework of the Book of Changes. Students will learn the classical meaning of the Eight Trigrams, how images express natural cycles, and core methods for beginner-level divination. The course builds symbolic thinking and prepares students for Liu Yao and advanced predictive systems.

Learn how hexagrams are formed from trigrams, and how their structure expresses situations, patterns and tendencies.
Module 6 — Basic Divination Methods
Learn the basic method of casting hexagrams using three coins, and how symbolic interpretation works.
Module 7 — Image–Number Logic
Develop foundational symbolic thinking through the principles of imagery (Xiang), numbers (Shu) and underlying principles (Li).
